Our esteemed colleague and co-founder of the cooperation BSB Attorneys at Law and BSB Patent Attorneys passed away after a short serious illness on December 18, 2021. We mourn him as a friend and a colleague. Our thoughts are with his family.

Volker Beck worked in the field of employment and service contract law. One of his main areas of practice was advising and negotiating with employees, managing directors, board members and works councils, as well as terminating employment relationships through notice of termination, settlement and cancellation agreements.

In the area of contract law, he gave advice in connection with the drafting of purchase agreements, contracts for work and services, agency agreements, license agreements, rental agreements and mixed forms thereof, as well as liability issues and claims for damages. If required, Volker also handeled litigation and arbitration activities. He also assisted and gave advice to specialists in other fields of law in litigation. Another focus of his work is copyright and licensing law, especially for images. Many years of experience as a consultant in legal matters of corporate management and a profound understanding of operational processes and requirements were the basis of his professional competence.

As a committed and creative representative of his clients, Volker always sought the most economically sensible solution in negotiations with customers, business partners, employees or works councils. Volker represented small and medium-sized companies as well as start-ups in the fields of advertising and marketing, IT, sales, personnel services, professional sports, image marketing and production. He also gave advice to family offices and private individuals.
