Due to the German Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung (BRAO), Rechtsanwälte are obliged to maintain a professional liability insurance with a minimum insurance sum of EUR 250.000,00. The details result from § 51 BRAO.
Patent attorneys are obliged by the German Patent Attorneys‘ Act (PAO) to maintain a professional liability insurance with a minimum insurance sum of EUR 2,500,000.00. The details result from § 45a PAO.
